Wednesdays Been Cancled

Wednesdays been canceled

On account that it's raining outside

Usually I'd be in a unique emotion that only rain can bring

But today's Tuesday and I've been terribly upset

Walking home, looking through my memories

Then it started to rain.

When I got home I sat outside for awhile

The monsoon was blowing palm trees in to each other

Pieces of bark being slung into the ground now flooded with mud

I watched the storm under the cover of my umbrella

My mind started running with the wind but got caught on a image

If I could print it out I would, not because it brings me sadness and I enjoy being upset

But because it was a beautiful moment in time

It was moment when two people shared young love

It was raining that day too

The memory hit my chest like cruel words

As I crawled under my blanket that night

I could hear the pounding of hale against the glass of my window

Lions in the sky roaring making them self known

So I'm canceling tomorrow

I don't feel like attending the charade

I guess I just can't look at the rain the same
