The Unforgiven II

A Poem by Harley (arbiter)
"

Imagine the periods as new lines

"

perfect match.

 kids in love...

 her dad found out.

 and we exchanged words..

. he went for a drive to blow off steam.

he gets into a crash and she blames me...

she says its over. but i dont want to give up...

 shes really mad.

 and i can see why...

 its fathers day.

and her dad almost died...

 she wont forgive me.

i dont think it was even my fault...

people say give her time and space

. i think if i do that it will be too late...

This is amazingly written, I really enjoyed reading it!
And I don't think you're the one to blame. It's not your fault he went for a drive to blow off steam and then crashed..
I think she should've just told him in the first place? I don't understand why he would get SO upset about it if nothing really happened between you two? but yeah
I was one to say time and space...I don't know maybe call her and try and talk to her?

Is it your fault? That's an unfair question. It also depends on your perspective. The drive he took to blow off some steam was caused by:

1. The stress of finding out about your relationship with his daughter
2. The stress caused by the "exchanged words"
3. His dealing with said stress by taking a drive
4. Most likely, not driving sensibly since he was upset

Some blame can be placed on everyone involved. However, it's really not necessary to blame any one person, nor is it useful.

I'd recommend not trying to get her to forgive you. Boys and girls your age are not equipped to deal with the ups and downs of relationships. Even though it feels good to be in love, it will feel better if you live your own life until you know who you are. Just my advice... Take it or leave it.

A great poem, an even greater truth. Simply tell her that you didn't wish this upon him or anything of the sort and if she can't forgive you, then she is the one who is undeserving of your devotion. Wouldn't it be worse to have an injured father and someone to hold your hand, than an injured father and a broken lover and a bitter loneliness.

No, it wasn't your fault. . . But you guys should take a few days and calm down. Yeah, it's probobly over, but you guys need to talk about it and try to come to some sort of understanding. . . There was nothing you could do then, but there is now.

Another hard-hitting piece. I like your short emphatic, sentences. I wish I had some advice. I'm so sorry.

I love it. Alot of cause and effect going on. Carma? Destiny? Hated Fate?....The toiling of a man and his soul as it fights its self about ones heart. I like this...yah I like it alot

I don't think it's your fault, it happened, and there isn't anything you could have done to stop it. But I believe in fate you might not. It will get better.
