Make it stick
God help you

He's coming to the inside
Tap the clutch
Racing is a fight
You know that much

Slam the gas
V8 roars loud
Rumble down the strait
Up front and proud

Last lap
Turn 3
So close
To victory

Lapped car
Goes up in smoke
Late shift
Tranny choke

Fishtales out
A pile up!
Let off
To the inside, duck!

Outta the smoke
Going two-oh-three
The lead car
Checkered flag, victory!

I know very little about Nascar racing Harley but your excitement and love of it shine through in your poem. The poem is fast paced - just as a race would be. Good write

This is not one of the best poems I have ever read but it is one of the most unique,,,It is rare and very brave of you to write about such a subject...Not much in the beauty of poetry can be seen through the eyes of Nascar but you do a great job with this write Arbiter...It seems more of a timed rythym then a slow sonnet...And as with Nascar, your write is fast paced, roaring with enthusiasm, and very thumping...Good job my friend

Not a big fan of NASCAR but I was raised in an enviornment where it was risen to cult status so I'm familiar with it. This poem really does describe NASCAR beautifully. Excellent job Arbiter.
