Jacob

Jacob

A Poem by Harley (arbiter)
"

RIP

"
I don't know you
But you're my brother

The one of two
That's six feet under

I wish we could have met
You'd be awesome I bet

A great guy
Why'd you have to die

Today, it's been 22 years
It's still bringing mom to tears

She can't move on
Her dear child gone

When we visit your tombstone
I leave y'all alone

Just mother and son
Who's life had just begun

You're in a better place
Held in God's grace

                      Jacob L. Earls
                             RIP

Oh my gosh. . . this is so sad. I have an older brother, and he's the world to me. If he died. . . I don't know how I would handle it. I'm so sorry. . . death is a part of life, but sometimes it comes too soon. And no mother should have to bury her child. We're with you, and I know he would have been a wonderful person.
Rest in peace, Jacob.

I knew this girl who, when she'd be really upset would only ask for her brother. For him to have lived, he would have been her twin but the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. I lived with her for about a month, we went through some pretty tough things in that short amount of time so I saw her upset a lot. She had a pretty crappy life, horrible stories a literal hell of a past. This just made me think of her... Keep writing.

I have a brother named Jacob, and I'd be horrified if he died. I really feel the emotions in this piece, the strength of them, and the pure melancholy beauty of the ending. Very Powerful. RIP Jacob L. Earls

this one left me totally speechless. The worst time for anyone is when they lose someone.
