Shunned and LonelyA Poem by Harley (arbiter)"out in the rain"
Standing in the rain
With my head hung low Dealin' with the pain Of watching you go And when I see you Talk to them other guys I lost you too Brings tears to my eyes I hear the roar of the crowd They came to see me Get my guitar loud But I gotta leave I don't care about the money I don't care about the fans I want you and me honey To be the ones holding hands I'm a jukebox hero But I don't give a s**t I want you know I want you more than it I shut the gig down early And I leave the scene I tell the fans I'm sorry I don't wanna be mean But I gotta make something right And until it's ok I wont sleep at night And no guitar I'll play I start up my car And hit the road She aint in the bar A full scope showed Someone said she had gone On a plane to chicago So now I'm alone I get back to the show The fans went away Nothing to numb the pain I lost my baby I might go insane Shunned and Lonely Out in the rain © 2012 Harley (arbiter)Author's Note
