highway run

It just came to me

this. just... came to me. inspired by so many things. so many thoughts going through my mind all at once. this is what came out of them all. i think it needs something to close it off but i dont know. also when i was writing it, a few songs were going through my head. it kinda reads to the melody of them. both by journey "faithfully" and "whos crying now"

Highway run
The pain has just begun
And they think I'm having fun

The years go on and on
And I think of history
That old part of me
That is gone

You see laughter
But never the pain
I push the tears back down again
Inside its safer

And I run
From the pain that's just begun
But I'm never having fun

Old friends come and gone
It never lasts very long
I don't know what ill do
If I ever have to leave you

I guess ill run
From the pain that's just begun
And I'm never having fun
When I'm without you

We all need that someone
To be with us till we're gone
And to take us when we're done
To the place that we belong

Just a highway run
From the pain that's just begun
Never having fun
Searching for someone

I wanted to get away
Lonliness; the price to pay
And until that fatefull day
I just can't stay
