The RoseA Poem by FayeThe truth is our demise.
The world is too much for her
With petals soft yet audacious, Infusing a beauty that even the heavens stir As it branches out to bloom so vivacious Honey harmonies, tinted pink cheeks, Synchronized heartbeats, nothing speaks Only the radiating beauty of an embryonic flower A mortal life blessed with undying power Planted by ardent love, withered by guilty grief What was once ours surrenders to disbelief All that once was is now lost to a tiny seed That flourishes to expose our misdeed A beauty so divine dips into God’s unyielding wrath, Relinquishing tempestuous fires upon two lover’s path The deadliest fragrance of life’s perfume Asphyxiate two lovers with its lethal fume © 2012 FayeAuthor's Note
