Dear beloved

dear beloved, i wrote a letter to you
through this weathered time, the few things i never said
abiding in the hoax of seeing you again
tears down my neck, oh how could i forget
amidst everything we see, a fine line weaves,
where yearnings and reality dance like autumn leaves

lurking in the cascades of chaos,
your voice is still the one i hear.
And i still look for you to find what's real
every time i think of you, a little more i heal
u've been like the light in the midst of strife
And i hope i'll say this to you in some other life

Might i have been the one to calm the storm
Might i have been the one to keep you warm
Might i have been the one to light your way
Would you have stayed?
Would you have been ok?
Would you?

Silently, i scream out loud in this hue,
all the things i never said,
the things that fill me with dread.
So, i'll keep writing even if you're gone,
hoping you'll get my message from the blue.
Oh dear beloved, i wrote a letter to u,
hoping that it will find its way through.

You barred me entry,
Your concealment leaving me exposed,
I linger outside, resembling a fool.

i beg to differ with "you made it even better", grace. while i do acknowledge that they did a good job expressing what i expressed in a more refined way that most people can resonate with, except me :p. but one thing is missing, and that's what i value most: the fun part, which is conveying things in an unusual way. i like that: concealed beneath the shelter of your shawl.

But here's the sitch, something's missing, and what I vibe with most is the fun factor, you feel me? Like, spicing things up with a twist. Mails don't have wings, yet somehow one's words always seem to reach its destination by gliding on the whimsical strokes of wind, the kind that are born from the fuming of each hot breath we take, with each inhale - and exhale. Exhausted panting, excessive yearning. Life is short, yet filled with excessive suffering, and insufficient pandering. We should take chances when we can, and still could. Perhaps keep writing is a good idea, as to remind us not to forget the detriment of our limitations and mortal mistakes. And hopefully, amends are given.
