Lost forever...

now.. or.. never..

The reels are changing

and i am afraid,

sometimes i wanna go put my feet in the cold river,

but sometimes i wanna stand better on the warm grass,

when i think of then,

i forget my now,

but when i think of now,

i cant see the end.

I cant find what makes me perplexed,

maybe i am lost in the time where everybody does,

but if i don't find the path to get out,

i will be lost forever,

and the time would move on but i would never...

As I read through it, I lost myself forever in it in some of those line of yours. Change is the way always, but not so easy and can be pretty hard not knowing where we are heading. I like this confusing phase, of being lost and trying to find our mojo back. Teaches a lot!

i think about staying present in the "now" as your speaker does .. and that there is a need and conflict going on because she is searching .. not accepting .. perhaps her answer is in the very thing she is attempting .. to be present in the now .. where pathways simply are not needed ... both past and future are not real .. they are memories and/or plans ... your poiem inspires me to remain in each moment as best i can .. to coral my wandering thoughts .. acknowledge them and let the go .. keep my focus .. ohhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! ;)

It does seem that some periods in life can overshadow our perceptions of tomorrow and without grace and hope from above we would be lost. This is a very elegant piece and gently thought provoking.

Forever can be comfortablle. However I sense change here. A restlessness, a need to escape. Relationships can make you feel like that at times and so does the work place. Thanks for sharing your poetry grace.
