Robbery

Robbery

A Poem by undisclosed
"

The eventual demolition of a house.

"

You entered me like I was a house you could rob,

You stole the furniture,

You stole my innocence,

But that wasn’t enough.

You entered me like I was a house you could rob,

This time, you stole the carpets and the wallpaper,

You stole my soul,

And you left a present in my house,

But that wasn’t enough.

You entered me like I was a house you could rob,

This time, you weren’t alone,

You stole the foundation on which the house stood,

You stole everything I had left.

There is nothing left to steal,

There is no house left,

No innocence,

And no soul,

Only a shell.

I was in a 4 year relationship and I felt robbed to if your poem is about loving someone that just takes and doesn't give. Good poem

Thank you for your review, I've loved her since I was 13, but it just broke me.
Was this a robbery, or was the door left unlocked?

That must have been difficult to deal with. I have lived in my home for 38 years. That would be devastating. Losing a huge part of your life. The way you have written this poem, makes the entering of the house sound abusive. That actually has quite a good effect.
