Insignificance

Insignificance

A Poem by underwriter

Insignificant speck of dirt,

Lying crushed

Into the ground.

Beaten, bruised and battered,

Making not a single sound.

Can it rise from the dark

Grey ashes? Can it

Reach a higher height?

Will it change to new perspectives?

Will it be given a chance to shine?

Insignificant speck of dirt,

Being thrown from toil

And ruin. One thing.

Then another. And another

Yet once more.

How can it rise when

nothing aids. How can it reach

without hands. Perspectives,

chances. It dares to dream.

"How can it rise when nothing aids. "
ah there lies the will to persevere even in the most impossible obstacle.
Powerful poem.
