Traveling Through the Heart

Traveling Through the Heart

A Poem by Victoria Nakis

Traveling through the depths of the heart,

Making the great voyage to find the place

Where happiness exists and pain is gone.

That destination of desperation,

Is it worth it to make it there?

Trekking through the abysmal desolation,

Climbing to the top of isolation,

Could this even be possible?

Running though the forest

Of the ghosts of pasts,

Swimming across the river,

Filled with a thousand tears.

Why even bother, it’s suicide.

Cutting through scars of depression,

Patching up the boat of broken dreams

And sailing towards the light;

The pin point of the expedition.

There's not much for me to really say about this. I needed to write something in order to let something out, and voila. Feedback is good though.

About
My name is Victoria. I've lost touch with writing lately, but it's always been a passion. It's my favorite outlet when the feelings I have can't be contained. I'm not particularly good at poetry.. more..
