Writing RealityA Poem by Victoria NakisAs I open my mouth with the hopes to create beauty, Images fill my mind and words cross by my eyes. My lips move in what I image to be a graceful manner, But what dribbles out is nothing but vomit. The link between mind and articulation clearly broken. Motor functions failing to annunciate correctly, What starts as a magnificent thought, A wondrous attempt at developing passion, Turns into a slap from reality; A reminder that my “talents” are better left to my own
imagination. © 2015 Victoria NakisAuthor's Note
