Tonight's ToughtsA Poem by CalypsoI
try to forget the fear inside. The
emotions that shallow me mock. When
I thought I was safe, you
breath again. You’re
in my life, squeezing
my heart in your hand. Anger
is my only weapon, and
the fear is like poison. Last
night you yelled, and
I wished I could leave, but
your death is my nightmare. I
can’t live without you. Without
you I’d be homeless, broken.
A victim,
a number on a scale
I see the shadows move. They call my name, and drink freely from my fear. I see the sun explode, and it's power rains down like God's wrath. Sometimes I have to wonder if you're real. © 2011 CalypsoReviews
