Timekeeper

Timekeeper

A Poem by Calypso

 What happened to us

that I still dream

of you?

Don’t you remember?

What if it felt

wrong?

Why does time rule us?

Timekeeper’s hold is on

my life since

I grew up.

In the land of make-believe

time stands still.

So then when was it

that I shed my old skin,

so that I could live this bittersweet life?

You’re still here,

with the pit of my dreams.

You are the timekeeper.

Please have mercy.

For writing this when you were 14 its really good. The flow was beautiful and talking about dreams made it almost a blurry blurry kind of picture. I interpret poems in my own way lol but its very nice thank you:)

I like it, it's a thoughtful brooding piece. :)

A very interesting poem. I like the myths. The three woman who control the thread of life were the timekeepers. Could cut the thread when it was time. Time is the most valuable thing we have. Most of us learn too late to enjoy life and not waste time on useless things. I like how you ended this outstanding poem.
