The devil is in the frostingA Poem by CalypsoCelery
sticks and
skim milk. No
butter in sight. I
think I’d rather be fat. The
doctors on TV make me
feel bad, fat, terrible. So
in the morning I don’t eat. Abstain
from the devil, what do
they want me to do die…t? I’m
not your type of perfect. Fat
hangs over my pants. The
devil is in the details… and
in the chocolate frosting. Tis
this I say I eat to be
evil. Sustain this beating heart. Take
the fat, men! Because
I real women isn’t limited
by the number
on a
scale!
I eat to feed the soul, I give in binge eating, but I've never been perfect. Celery sticks won't kill me. But lack of frosting will. © 2011 CalypsoAuthor's Note
