I wanna be in love with you

Not when I’m in and out of this bed

But because we’re out dancing

Under the sweet moonlight

Or it may be by the city lights

Talking, smiling, joking and giggling

Having our own late night coffees

Telling our old childhood stories

Emotions flowing with the wind

Cause those times we’re not letting go

Because I love the little things we do

It makes my day, it secures me

That in our small quiet pace

There’s you and me we build

There’s more love we share

Precious moments with prayer

Not just cause we’re naked

Not just cause we’re aggressive

Not just because we’re perfect

But because we have this flaws

Yet we share, we love, we care

In this we’re bare, we’re more to skin

More than we thought we are this years

This hands that could touch my soul

Not just my body but my hidden core

That wipe my tears each time I’m lost

That leads me back in times I’m confused

Arms that I can run into when I’m barely standing

When I’m barely breathing

When I’m barely holding

I love you more this way

More and more each day

This love taught me that we could be more

More than the sheets when we leave

But this is us… a home we’ve build

Not the four walled corners

But beating hearts that speaks of more

A home of warm embrace

Kisses of morning passion

Oh! My younger me look for love this way

Be in love in a way you both build and pick each other

Not of lust, not of anger, not of jealousy

But of patience, perseverance and integrity

This way you are loved in a way pure and true
