Walking Silence

Walking Silence

A Poem by Kayla
"

moments pass you by

"

Walking, silence

They go hand in hand

I look at you, you look at me

Our words lost somewhere

I know in my heart what I want to say

So do you

The message moves to the brain

Where true feeling is lost

In our head the heart is stupid

Why say our true meaning

The moment is gone

Our lips haven’t moved

We’re walking together

Tongue tied, hands in pockets

Fearful of the other’s words

Fearful of the pain

Walking, silence

It ruins us

Walking, silence

It stops us

Walking, silence

It keeps love a bay

Walking, silence

It makes us go separate ways
