Unwinding the Clock

Unwinding the Clock

A Poem by unclecharlie

Have we reached the end for sure

Or this depression can we some how cure

Stuck in a life that doesn't mean much

From the ones we Love we're out of touch

At times in life from others we only took

Years of bad memories that could be a book

Our eyes open and we finally see

Life really isn't just about you or me

We've got more then what we really need

So on helping other we now may have feed

Walking away from the things that make no sense

Thinking a better life will some how commence

Yet as we see things Societies way

Is it really just how we were taught to play

Yet we give it more then only one shot

Look back and wonder where we've really got

The faces and the names are not the same

We're on a different board but not a different game

Giving and caring what seems like a whole lot more

But is it really different then the years before

Life is like a never ending maze

Some times leaving us in a type of daze

Could it be the mind that never stops

And maybe needs to unwind like the old clocks

But no matter what life throws our way

Never surrender just change how you play!
