At the foot of her bed

At the foot of her bed

A Poem by unclecharlie

Standing there at the foot of your bed

I cried listened and shook my head

With no idea of what next to do

Except make sure that you feel the Love we have for you

All you wanted was to get away

Pass at home is what you'd always say

To the staff you are completely mean

The person you are I've never seen

I left with a more then a broken heart

To find forgiveness where do I start

Like a knife carving in my chest

Maybe I am not strong enough for this test

You are the mother that I never had

Always sticking with me good or bad

Now I watch as you slowly dwindle away

Not being able understand 1/2 of what you say

I spend each day fighting guilt and shame

Can't push away that I am to blame

Please forgive me if you will

There's no doubt I LOVE YOU still

If there was more that I could do

You have to know I give my life for you!

And when this run come to an end

Still Love to you every day I will send!
