Not much I can do

Not much I can do

A Poem by unclecharlie

Today nothing to her is clear

And her words I can hardly hear

She is begging to take a trip

Promising me she won't ever slip

Then tells me about the woman in the corner

That talks but has yet to warn her

My dad she said held out his hand

Offer to take her to a much better land

He was clear like a dinner host

Not anything like a leading ghost

For now she pushes that idea away

letting him know just what she has to say

Telling him she so much more to do

He says, " No matter he'll always love you "

Now comes more of our little trips

The Place we went and the ones that we skipped

As she talks her voice is slowly fading

The medication sets in and does the sedating

So now an eye on her I sit and keep

While she gets some rest and is fast asleep!
