My time to cryA Poem by unclecharlie
I sit here next to her bed
Remembering all the words they said None of which were any good But they said just what I knew they would My hearts now heavy and to her I lie Just can't admit that it's now time to say Good Bye Instead we talk about our next trip Or into our memories we easily slip Knowing that she's very weak Her illness has finally hit it's peak For now we talk and I silently pray That God will give us one more day Now matter what I sit here and cry As she lays there waiting to finally die Alone I just can't let her be She's got to know, she'll always be loved by me An Uncle Charlie Original © 2010 unclecharlie |
