My Own Tradition

My Own Tradition

A Poem by unclecharlie

Sitting here at my breakfast nook

Playing on the PC and watching the Parade as I cook

The pies are where I think I will start

Nothing like the smell of a pie to warm the heart

The parade may be boring to most

But with a big TV I am right next to the host

Cooking is something I haven't done in a few years

Still it's like riding a bike so push away all of those fears

It won't be turkey but some Cornish Hen's

This my friends is where my own Tradition begins

I have plenty of things to be Thankful for

And every day God gives me just a little bit more

Let's all please bow your head for a second or two

And say a Prayer for the one less fortunate then you!

Let's not forget our friends in uniform

Pray they are all safe comfy and warm!

Later on there come some additions

But for now this is the start of my own Tradition!
