Is the Line to Fine

Is the Line to Fine

A Poem by unclecharlie

The child that was some what alone
Invited to come into our home
Never was this child abused
But as a pawn she had been used
Yet every time we would meet
A big hug is how we'd greet
I'd give here back a nice gentle touch
Or a little scratch and she'd squirm so much
Then the statement came out loud and clear
Threw my body ran anger and fear
I turned her loose and stepped back
What could have brought on this attack
Me and this child have hugged and loved each other
Just as much as her father and more then her Mother
In the love of a child and an adult
Do people always look for some kind fault
How someone came up with this thought
Is something no one else has really got
To make a false accusation or to accuse
Love and respect you'll surely lose
The tone and words ringing in my head
How could anything lower ever be said
When she hugged you tight saying I Love you to
Hugging her back  isn't that what your supposed to do
If you really feel the statement is just
Then how could I be the one you love and trust
If ever this sickness in me you really see
Then grab the gun and shot me as dead as I should be
Did spanking and hugging go out at the same time
Or is the line for some people just way to fine?
