That Childhood dream

That Childhood dream

A Poem by unclecharlie

We sit back in the time we call free

Thinking about all we do and what we see

Wondering why some things so quickly have passed

And how we can be sure that others will last

Remembering our odd childhood dream

In this life what did it really mean

Confident that this life's complete

We have a love that we were lucky to meet

Even though things aren't always as we'd like

We have a good job, great woman, and a bike

That my friend makes most of the dream come true

The rest we'll work on and see what we can do

No matter if it ever all comes to light

We're still content and everything surely seems right

So we smile as we just consider that dream odd dream

Maybe this is just what it was supposed to mean.
