Ourselves

Ourselves

A Poem by unclecharlie

Just relaxing in our own little perch

Looking for peace is our endless search

At times just needing to be all alone

No people , TV , radio , Or even a phone

From this point there's so much to see

Not just the view but what's inside of you or me

We're not rich but still never go without

We've given up on trying to figure what life's  about

So instead we think about all the we've got

Things that are free are the best believe it or not

Like beautiful flowers , trees , and birds high above

The deer , rabbits, Even cows and all of it we love

My friend you can bet that every single day

I take a minute out to Thank God as I pray

This is nothing that we could have built

God brings it in and he makes it wilt

Many people have so much less

The reason why we never try to guess

Even though tightly we may have to live

There's seldom a question about if we will give

Time or money does it really matter

If it helps someone take one step up the ladder

Yet at times when it all gets to be to much

We come out here and get back in touch

With the person that we once knew

That is always the best thing we can do

Now that we've found them and their here to stay

From this tranquility we must walk away

Back the same world as all the rest

Taking it day by day and doing our best!
