It's been to long

It's been to long

A Poem by unclecharlie

Started the bike and that's how it all begun

Let it warm up for an afternoon run

Sat back and adjusted the mirror

Pulled the clutch and put it into gear

Not in a hurry no place I needed to be

For now it was just the bike and me

The sound of the pipes was a pleasant roar

I sped up just wanted to hear more

The day was cloudy and not really to bright

Still going down that road felt oh so right

County roads with a beautiful canopy top

Out in the country there was no need to stop

We'd been separated for far to long

Now we were both where we truly belong

The wind in my hair and the wide open space

Undoubtedly in my own very happy place

Even comforting some times that bike can be

No matter what I do it always starts for me

Now parked in the garage I give seat a little pat

Had some wonderful times when on it I sat!
