One of those days

One of those days

A Poem by unclecharlie

A day that drove her totally mad

Came through the door exhausted and sad

Needing to b***h not just to talk

The words got louder as in circles she walked

Hoping to distract her line of thinking

Popped a beer and started drinking

That didn't phase her one little bit

Lit the pipe and offered her a hit

But a cocktail is what she would choose

Just what the DR had told her to use

Her temper slowly would start to calm

But it didn't give her any kind of charm

Not many minutes seem to pass

And finally it was kicking her a*s

Like a drunk that moves easy and slow

About the bad day no longer would she know

The whole day was completely erased

She's staring at the TV with a smile on her face

Not liking to see her sad or on pain

We do all we can to just keep her sane

A lovely woman with the biggest of hearts

Love her death and we'll never part

So now and then when life kicks your a*s

Have a cocktail and just let it all pass!
