Double Edged

Double Edged

A Poem by unclecharlie

We've all read the words that have torn many apart

And didn't care like we never had a heart

Just sat back as they were  covered with dirt

Never thinking about how much it hurt

We've passed judgement and moved along

As if in life we'd never done wrong

Acting like our asses are cover in  gold

Then cried as we watched another unfold

With a difference to many that seemed clear

This to us was someone that's near

So for them we are willing to push things aside

And to believe that everyone else has lied

If others should want to discuss the facts

Those are the ones we will attack

And with the others we'll always fight

Their family or friends they had to have done right

Yet we try to say everyone should be treated the same

Human Double standards are such a shame

This should be easy for all of us to get

Even if in Our Ivory tower is where we think we sit!
