Feathers may be ruffles

Feathers may be ruffles

A Poem by unclecharlie

So some feathers we may have ruffled

Maybe with them we shouldn't have scuffled

They gave what was their  just reward

Lashing out with a sharp sword

The strikes they just couldn't see

Guess they forgot speech isn't free

Guide lines that were quickly set down

Just as quickly to bend many have found

Repercussions we're told are always there

You get what you give doesn't mean that it's fair

Not all eyes will see it the same

If they did it'd sure be a shame

But never say we'll bury the past

When your holding the stone waiting cast

If some kind of games you hope to play

That's what the air waves are for anyway

I won't get mad or loose any sleep

True to myself is all I need to keep

If after all it's something you can't really get

Please believe I don't give a s**t!
