Cracker's Coast

Cracker's Coast

A Poem by unclecharlie

Life for them is boring at best

So you come on in at their request

The hatchet seemed buried long ago

At least their words told you so

By the drama you know they're fed

What will happen is already going through your head

But you give them the benefit of the doubt

Knowing soon you will figure it out

Their words weren't worth a s**t

The center of the drama they make sure you get

Bringing together the fire and the gas

They supply the air to be sure it will last

From another spot they must fetch

Something to be sure the fire will catch

As a friend they tried to disguise

But it was an enemy right before our eyes

It really doesn't matter any more

We walked away and locked the door

Yet they still think that we're blind

So new fuel they search to find

If you like to face the Ghost

Then please won't you join the Cracker's Coast!
