With Both Feet

With Both Feet

A Poem by unclecharlie

Now we sit back very deep in thought

What to do next we really know not

Not a bit a shamed to say that we're scared

Into those eyes many time we have stared

No so much bothered by being alone

What's much worse is not having a home

The offers and the life really can't be beat

But could we lose traction if we jump with both feet

A contract someone might want to sign

Does that make sense if all will be fine

It's not a matter of if we love or hate

It's more the feeling that maybe we should wait

Not stranger to the others little quirks

Or the times when we both will be jerks

There are so many things that have been done or even said

It's going to take some time to clear everyone's head

We're the same as we were some months before

That ended with one of us walking out the door

Doesn't it strike as a little bit strange

And don't you think we'd both need to change

Or should we just make some kind of a deal

Give it a shot and see how we feel

Now there is so much in our lap

Let's think it over and take a little nap

Or even sleep on it for at least tonight

Wake up fresh with the morning light

Then if our head should not be spinning

We can actually think about a new beginning!
