Let's Not Dwell

Let's Not Dwell

A Poem by unclecharlie

Pondering over the year now has begun

Where were we then and what have we won

Is there a moment we can't easily get past

If that is the case, how long will it last

And if we're in complete misery

Is it something that others can see

If what has transpired we never really get

Does that mean we just don't even give s**t

And if there are parts that are simply a blur

Then the big pot should we try to stir

Should we chalk it up as something we lost

Or as a learning experience with a painful cost

Maybe instead of sitting here to ponder

We should pick ourselves up and go over yonder

Meet with some family and maybe friends

Try to start the comfort that help us mend

Or we can sit back and boil like an over heated pot

But when it's all over what else have we got

With all the anger that we seem to be tasting

Pondering is just time that we are now wasting

So let's move forward and try not to look back

Keeping our emotions and dignity completely in tact

It's not the end of the world by a very long shot

Instead of dwelling on the bad be thankful for what we have got

We can feel just as bad with a smile on our face

Not give up and get back in the race

Or we can just sit right here and dwell

Living this life in our own little hell

It is what it is and there's nothing we can do

So let's accept it , move forward, and let be threw!
