To Just be Free

To Just be Free

A Poem by unclecharlie

At the PC with our coffee is where we sit

Thinking that better this the day can't get

All the outside world we will avoid

Forgot how much solitude we enjoyed

Time alone we love to spend

On ourselves only can we depend

People seem to see what isn't there

And want to complain that life isn't fair

For the same things in life we all feed

It's food , shelter, and air that we need

Everything else is giving life it's plus

That's the difference in all of us

Maybe it was the early years

Or the shedding of many a tears

That made us all who we are today

Right or wrong  who has the right to say

Even after reading " The Big Book of Tell Me Why "

To explain life's problems it didn't try

Nor could it explain the attitudes

Or the quick shift of someone's moods

Today with none of this will we see

As it's a day for us to just be free!
