Moments in Hell

Moments in Hell

A Poem by unclecharlie

Lived through the life that was just short of hell

There was no darkness but we couldn't tell

Everything was cement, steel or some kind of grate

Life was over and all we  could do was wait

Being cautious so we'd stay alive

There were some that didn't survive

True friends and family now we would know

They were still there when we had to go

Now a debt has finally been paid

And a new life we seem to have made

We Thank God because he was there

In a world where no one else cared

Many times felt his hand on my back

Giving me the strength I may have lacked

Another Chapter God's helped me through

Just believe and he'll do for you!
