The Path

Often I have found life to be over rated
To escape from hell I patiently waited
Knowing that some day I'd find
That perfect life from in my mind
Working hard so a path I could make
But didn't know how long it would take
Knowing there would be days like this
The days I'd love to simply miss
Still the path I had begun
Wouldn't stop until I was done
For many years I would explore
Not afraid to walk threw any door
Now relaxed and having some fun
Found that very special one
There are pleasant stories that I can tell
Walked right through that life of hell
Couldn't ever have done it alone
Hard to move forward with a heart of stone
She came along held out her hand
Now together is where we stand
With her I've learned what life should mean
The vision in my head every day I've seen
Life still isn't perfectly clear
But no matter where I am at she is near
I feel her love from miles away
And I'll love her til my last day
A better life I just can't see
It's perfect when she's next to me
So never give up on your fight
For a life that's just right
So let your heart show you the way
When your there, WOW is all you'll have to say!
