Life On The Farm

Life On The Farm

A Poem by unclecharlie

Finally no need to hurry around
A simple life has been found
Get up at the crack of dawn
Stretch a little as we yawn
Got my coffee cup in hand
On the porch in boxer's I can stand
The sun rises in front of me
Country life has set me free
Got some chores that we must do
Then some relaxing once we're through
The horses all think that I am great
But only after they've all ate
That I am the boss I pretend
As I turn them loose again
They will nicker as if to call
That it's time to clean the stall
For many years I had to wait
But right now life is great
Got an awesome woman by my side
I am filled deep with pride
All of this many people just can't get
But this is for sure where I fit!
