Blind Date # 27

Blind Date # 27

A Poem by unclecharlie

It started with a pleasant fishing trip
I fell in the water took a little dip
She put the bait right on the hook
Smiled and gave me that playful evil look
Rested our poles on a big rock
Flipped the button so the reels would lock
Then had cheeseburgers and some fries
Sat for hours telling the big fishing lies
We laughed joked and had a good time
Not even watching the fishing line
We heard it as one pole started to spring
To our feet both of us it would bring
She grabbed the pole and started the task
I took a drink from our little flask
She pulled reeled the fish put up a fight
That was a good ending to a wonderful night
She got the fish in and smile crossed her face
It's moments like this that are hard to replace
I gave her a kiss on the cheek
Hugged her until my knees got weak
Many times this story may have been told
That doesn't matter it never gets old!
