When we think life is a wreck,
Could it be to much that we expect,
Is there never to be a heavy load,
That may crack the well paved road,
Do we turn around and run,
When it seems there is no fun,
When ourselves we have lost,
What exactly does that cost,
Can we just swallow our pride,
And continue on the ride,
Then what about the time we've spent,
Before the way became bent,
What about the work we've done,
As two not just one,
Do we leave it all behind,
As ourselves we try to find,
Once our identity slips away,
What role can we now play,
This all seems so complex,
It's hard to know what may come next,
We all want a life like on TV,
Knowing that it can never be,
God I'm told will guide the way,
But does he always listen when we pray?
