On Their Throne

On Their Throne

A Poem by unclecharlie

On a throne is where they sit,
In their lives no one can fit,
They are sure that they are the best,
Way above all the rest,
From the Ivory tower they can't see,
Anyone like you or me,
To them reality is a joke,
In the real world they would choke,
In my world they can't look,
So they read it in a book,
Their closet is empty as hell,
That's at least what they tell,
If a shadow passes by,
To 911 they now cry,
They are scared even more,
If someone knocks on the door,
Their world is make believe,
But it's the one they can't leave,
It's easy to sit and judge,
When off the couch your a*s won't budge,
The life that they see,
Is one from TV,
It all seems pretty lame,
Because in the end we're all the same!
