She's Leaving

She's Leaving

A Poem by unclecharlie

She said she was leaving,
If I turned on my PC this evening,
All I could say was Good Bye,
To avoid it I didn't try,
There would be no amends,
Couldn't ignore my Internet friends,
Habit it had became,
Every night was the same,
It was a race to get home for me,
Then to turn on my PC,
They are all on my friends list,
And to chat I can't resist,
Some are close and others far away,
But I need their company each and every day,
Over my shoulder she would look,
But an interest she never took,
She ask what good it could do,
I said that is how I met you,
She looked at me in complete shock,
She slammed the door and I turned the lock,
I turned up the sound on my PC,
Now just my best friends and me!
