Justice?

Justice?

A Poem by unclecharlie

Even though some times went by,
I have healed some but still cry,
At the memory of that day,
When so much was taken away,
There really wasn't much I could do,
My life's a mess because of you,
No doubt I could have died,
Instead the bills are piled high,
For a year life's been on hold,
You they only seem to scold,
A very short prison time,
Yet every day I remember your crime,
My body will always ache,
Because of the drive you decided to take,
So drunk that you couldn't see,
Yet the one that paid the most is me,
Must have been your daily course,
As in you I see no remorse,
I accept justice has been served,
You will be gone for a few years,
But that doesn't end my fears,
Still one chapter comes to and end,
And another part of me can mend,
My anger can some what subside,
Because JUSTICE is on my side!
