Counting Each Drop

Counting Each Drop

A Poem by unclecharlie

Trying to count each drop,
Wishing that the rain would stop,
It doesnt help the gloom,
Found in this empty room,
Not the place I call home,
Yet time spent here alone,
Not enough was ever said,
Maybe emotions are all dead,
What may actually be real,
Is that we should never feel,
Who would have ever guessed,
That Johnny Cash said it best,
I keep a close eye on this heart mine,
I watch it all time,
Most of us just let it go,
What will happen next we never know,
One day is fine but the next is not,
So off guard we maybe caught,
Communicators are a dying breed,
A crystal ball is what we need,
Still trying to count every drop,
Wish these tears would stop!

I feel I've been here way too many times. This just reached out to me.
