I pretend

I pretend

A Poem by unclecharlie

My work day comes to an end,
That I'm with you I know pretend,
Dinner is prepared so now I wait,
Light the candles set you a plate,
The room is empty the lights are dim,
One day this fantasy I will win,
The music plays soft and low,
Because we dance nice and slow,
We'd start off with wine and finger food,
Something just to get you in the mood,
Champagne off to the side would chill,
we'd have a little after the meal,
Later there would be some desert,
Something light while we flirt,
Then if all went just right,
You'd be with me for the night,
This for you could all be real,
In my arms Love you'd feel,
Then you'd ask me to lock the door,
Not wanting to leave you'd want some more,
Now the smile leaves my face,
At my table there's still an empty place!
