Eyes of Blue

Eyes of Blue

A Poem by unclecharlie

Eyes that are a relaxing shade of blue,
And you know just what to do,
A little batting of the lash,
A quick wink as you walk past,
Then comes that backwards glance,
Letting me know there is a chance,
Next a brush as you walk back by,
Wondering why I don't even try,
Yet a move I just won't make,
Feeling there is to much at stake,
Because in the end I may be sad,
Rejection is always just that bad,
So alone I sit and drink,
Later on I will think,
Maybe I could have been the one,
To greet her with the rising sun,
That now all runs through my head,
But not a word had I said,
So when she leaves it up to me,
I fall apart you can see,
Will she be the one I greet,
If by chance again we meet,
Or once again will I not try,
Then spend a lonely night wondering why!
