Here we go once again,
Another one that I can't win,
She wants a mans in a Coat and tie,
I asked but she knows not why,
She wants a man with lots of green,
Power to her that will mean,
I took her to dine out,
Not there she continued to shout,
She said what I couldn't see,
Was that nothing about a date was up to me,
Finally found a place to eat,
We waited an hour for a seat,
It was $ 50 for each plate,
The food came and I made the waitress wait,
I told her this couldn't be for real,
Those portion are a snack not a meal,
She said we paid for the atmosphere,
She had coffee and I had a beer,
They then gave us a desert menu,
I told her we'd have that at some place new,
Some place with out the thrill,
So maybe I could get my fill,
It was clear we wouldn't go very far,
She didn't like how I dressed or my car,
I told her she could be my friend,
But right here this date had to end,
To her the statement wasn't clear,
She even shed a little tear,
Told me she didn't understand why,
Thing would get better if I'd only try,
My response was there is nothing that I can do,
I am just not the man for you,
Now my phone rings off the hook,
Her number is there every time I look,
Maybe she had a change of heart,
But I have no idea where to start,
What she saw is what she got,
I can't be someone that I am not!
