Blind Date # 16

Blind Date # 16

A Poem by unclecharlie

I had no idea what was in store,
I was interrogated at the door,
By a woman dressed in black,
But questions she didn't lack,
I must have passed the test,
Then was told to sit down and rest,
All I felt was total doom,
As my date walked into the room,
Her skin was white as a ghost,
The color black was all she'd host,
From her hair to her feet,
Black was all the eyes could meet,
Finger nail and toes were painted swell,
But they were black just as well,
She wanted to go to a rave,
In some Godawful cave,
Lights were candles along the wall,
I could barely see anything at all,
Around a fire everyone would dance,
Half seemed to be in a trance,
They all would scream and rant,
Couldn't understand what they'd chant,
I decided it was time to go,
Couldn't find her wouldn't you know,
Then someone asked me if I knew,
What I was supposed to do,
I told them probably not,
He said, As an offering you've been caught,
To me that didn't sound so good,
First chance I ran as fast as I could,
One thing you can bet,
This was the worst one yet!
