Blind Date # 15

Blind Date # 15

A Poem by unclecharlie

This one wanted to dress me up like a doll,
And that's just not me at all,
I like the relaxed fit,
And to me that's as good as I can get,
I like shorts- t shirt and flip flops,
Maybe tennis shoes but the is where it stops,
Yet my clothes she went through,
Then told me most of it just wouldn't do,
The date she said we needed to skip,
She felt I was in need of a shopping trip,
She decided what I should wear,
And what it cost I shouldn't care,
We looked at everything in the store,
Then went some where else to look at some more,
The total bill was 5 grand,
That was way more then I had planned,
She said it would make me look really good,
And to go out with her I really should,
She said to call her next week,
And at how I dressed she'd take a peek,
Then we split in the Parking lot,
Believe to call her I will not,
I waited until her car I couldn't see,
Then I went and got the right things for me,
I returned all the rest,
Got all my money back as you have guessed,
I don't feel any reason to change,
Or that how I dress is that strange,
This number won't go in my book,
Yet one more chance I have took!
