Blind Date # 10

Blind Date # 10

A Poem by unclecharlie

Blind Date # 10,
This is how they all should be begin,
I picked her up at eight,
We had dinner a little late,
Then off to a show,
What was playing we didn't know,
Got there and we couldn't agree,
So we watched what she wanted to see,
After that we got a bottle of wine,
The evening weather was really fine,
Sat on the beach and watched the stars,
Far enough from the road that we heard no cars,
We were alone there was no doubt,
So we spread a blanket out,
The glasses we made clink,
With every single drink,
Laid back with her head upon my chest,
The rest I would have never guessed,
We woke just before day break,
But not a move did we make,
There was still sleep in her eyes,
But we watched as the sun began to rise,
I then took her home,
She told me she wasn't ready to be alone,
A great breakfast she would cook,
Then a long nap we both took,
We woke up about noon,
I had to go but it was way to soon,
I gave her my number so she could call,
There were 20 messages and her voice was on them all,
If I will see her again there's no debate,
In fact you can bet that I can't wait!
