Blind Date # 5

Blind Date # 5

A Poem by unclecharlie

Blind Date 5,
Can't believe I am still alive,
Broke down and let her drive,
Not sure how we survived,
She drove at a high rate of speed,
But to hurry there was no need,
She dodged another car and about hit a post,
I was white as a ghost,
We made it to the bar,
I had no idea it was so far,
We had a drink or two,
Then talked about what next to do,
Someone complimented her on her dress,
Then came the big mess,
She decided to throw a fit,
And this guy she did hit,
I thought maybe it was a test,
I was no taller then his chest,
No doubt I was glad,
That he didn't get to mad,
I told her we should go,
All she had to say was no,
It was a scary night,
With everyone she wanted to fight,
Got her to the parking lot,
That's as far as we got,
She wanted me to drive with her on my lap,
I said no and got a slap,
She started the car and left me there,
I needed a drink and didn't care,
With none so far have I fit,
But I think worse it can't get!

this is very funny. :) Well done! It reads very well, very smoothly - no stumbles with the meter or the rhyme. Kudos.
